Privacy Policy

Lake of the Woods District Stewardship Association (the Association) is committed to protecting the confidentiality of the member information we collect and hold.

The collection and use of personal information is limited to what is necessary to administer the business of the Association, provide members with the highest quality service and to offer information and opportunities we think will be of value to members.

The Association will not sell, rent, or transmit personal member information to other organizations.

The Association may, on occasion, collect personal information from visitors to our site on a voluntary basis. Such information may include name, company, address, phone number, email address, etc.  This individual information is used by the Association to process transactions initiated by our members, marketing services, special events or market research related to the Association.

The Associations reserves the right to use third parties for certain business functions. Third parties are bound by strict confidentiality guidelines and not allowed to use member information for any other task than that they are contracted to do for the Association.  Presently LOWDSA uses a third party payment services provider: Pay Pal to process e-mail-commerce transactions.  Pay Pal is solely responsible for maintaining the electronic and physical security your payment transaction information.

Only designated employees, or third parties, who need to carry out legitimate business functions, are permitted to view any personal member data. Employees or agents who violate our privacy policies are subject to disciplinary actions up to and including termination of employment or contract.

From time to time, LOWDSA may publish a list of its members in the Area News Magazine.  Members have the opportunity to decline the listing of their names in the publication at the time membership is obtained or renewed.  Members may also decline the listing of their names in the publication at any other time by contacting LOWDSA’s Privacy Officer at the contacts below.  Please note it could take up to 30 days to activate your request to decline listing in the members’ list due to lead times required in printing and mailing the publication.
